‍Friend of a Friend formed in the summer of 2020 after a lifetime just missing each other. Since their debut release in 2022, they’ve toured relentlessly throughout Europe and North America and have been featured in Spin Magazine, named an artist to watch by Rolling Stone, an “American Visionary Duo” by Mesmerized, an “indie rock band taking the scene by storm" by Wonderland Magazine, a "cultural phenomenon" by Extravafrench, "sonic visionaries" by Plastic Magazine, and "the next huge thing in indie rock" by Each Measure.

Bird Voices was born from a meeting in London between Denis Maxwell and Jello, who quickly discovered a strong connection through both their musical influences and their shared ambition to build an artistic project together.

After releasing a first French-language prose project in 2022, the band took a new direction. They were joined by three new musicians, with whom they wrote Cold Sweats, a folk-rock-inspired album recorded on tape in the Sancerre countryside. Released in late 2024, the record received enthusiastic praise from independent media, including RSTLSS RADIO. Its release was followed by a tour in the south of France, along with regular performances in the Paris region.

At the end of 2025, following the arrival of a new guitarist, Bird Voices returned to the countryside to record their second album, scheduled for release in 2026. In June 2026, the band will perform at DamFest, an independent rock festival, and are preparing a tour across France in support of the new album, while continuing to set Parisian stages ablaze.

Rosa d’Alba grew up in New York City speaking Spanish and Asturian, cultural influences which resonate strongly within her debut album titled “Speak From the Heart”, set to be released this coming summer. Her musical identity has been shaped by this cultural richness, and through the compositions of her songs she delves into the themes of longing, nostalgia and love in all of its many facets.
